Product Liability $7,500,000 Man suffered burns to his body and loss of his leg below the knee as a result of a detonation at or near a compressed air receiver where the supplier of valves failed to provide as part of its product, after coolers that would condense atomized oil.
Construction Accident $4,500,000 An Ironworker suffered nerve and urological injuries while drilling into a 64 volt line and striking an underground electrical conduit which tripped an electrical line that energized vent fans.

Product Liability $1,800,000 A laborer suffered a laceration to his left forearm causing permanent loss of ulnar nerve function and loss of sensation in his fingers when a 36-inch blade disengaged from a faulty walk behind saw being operated by another laborer at the job site.
Construction Accident $1,600,000 A laborer performing concrete patchwork in a work zone was struck by a commercial vehicle that violated road construction safety signs.  The laborer suffered a traumatic injury to his lumbar spine requiring a fusion surgery of a herniated disc at L4-L5.
Product Liability $1,600,000 Due to a chemical production factory’s failure to provide proper seals in a chemical mixing device, a chemist suffered exposure of mercuric toxins which compromised his kidney function.
Retaliatory Discharge $1,600,000 A Coal miner with a heart condition filed a workers compensation claim after suffering cardiac arrest.  He was fired after bringing the workers compensation claim and a retaliatory discharge action was filed against his employer.  At the time of the verdict, it was the largest retaliatory discharge verdict in the State of Illinois.
Construction Negligence $1,500,000 An ironworker suffered severe back injuries as a result of an elevator malfunction at a loading dock in Virginia.
