Attorney Amanda Chase Mentors Students

Back in September, one of our attorneys, Amanda Chase, spoke with the young student entrepreneurs of the Monroe County startUP program. According to the Monroe County startUP website, “The startUP program is a community partnership between local high school students and area businesses that transforms the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders.” Business owners and community leaders share information and knowledge about running a business and serve as mentors to students in the startUP program. The goal of Monroe County’s startUP program is to teach and inspire young people to be entrepreneurs, start their own businesses and eventually give back to the community like the mentors they learn from.

Amanda talked to the students about what it means to be a lawyer. At the heart of her conversation with the students was the theme: to be a lawyer is to be a problem solver. Amanda explained the importance of getting to the root of an issue. She shared the experiences and values that brought her success. Amanda discussed the value and importance of loving learning. Amanda encouraged them to diversify their experiences to bring success to future business ventures because inter-disciplinary studies have broadened her perspectives and encouraged her to innovate as a lawyer at Strellis and Field.

Amanda is one of the newest additions to Strellis and Field. She joined the firm in September of 2019. To learn more about Amanda, check out her page.
